Nate is the Program Director and Professor for the Human Services Program at Grays Harbor College. Nate's new book, "Developing Others Through Service: Starting with ME!" was released in August 2020. Nate is the co-founder and CEO of D.O.T Service LLC. At DOTS, Nate is passionate and skilled in helping individuals and organizations connect the dots that matter to them using research, data, frameworks, constructs, design, and implementation. Nate and his wife (Dr. PC Woods) are Real Estate investors; Nate is a Key Principal at Growth Vue Properties, an apartment syndicating firm.
Nate is an avid sports fan, reader, and humanitarian. He and his wife of over 13 years,have two sons, Nate III and Angelo.
Dr. PageCarol Woods is the co-founder of Developing Others Through Service. She specializes in life skill programs for all ages. Out of her passion for serving student-athletes, Dr. PCWoods' Fireside Chats was established, which has been used at Southeastern University and currently used by the NWAC (Northwest Athletic Conference). This program seeks to create an outlet for athletes to create authentic dialogue with others and the moderator, about in-depth topics that include racial injustice, substance use disorders, and mental health, to name a few.
Dr. Woods started working in higher education since 2007. Since that time, she has held positions as an adjunct faculty member at multiple institutions in Speech, Public Relations, Swimming courses, and a transcript evaluator. Before moving to Washington State, Dr. Woods was the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, Life Skills, and Academics at Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL. She now works as a Student Success Navigator for the athletic department and the general school population at Grays Harbor College in Aberdeen, WA.
Serving others isn't new to Sarah MacDonald. From assisting individuals to reach their professional goals by providing career counsel to providing custom workouts so athletes can perform at their peak.
The Maine native graduated with a Masters in Sports Leadership from Northeastern University before pursuing a career in college athletics in Florida. After serving as the Athletic Marketing and Promotions Coordinator, Sarah felt the Lord calling her to pursue more. She now serves as the Director of Experiential Learning for Undergraduate Students in the Human Performance and Sports Studies department at Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL. Sarah consults as a facilitator, project manager, and career coach. She is an avid college basketball fan and enjoys summers in Maine.
Jose “Tony” Garcia is the Associate Director of the TRIO Student Support Services programs at Grays Harbor College. Tony started his 20+ year career in education in San Diego, California where he was the counselor for the Upward Bound STAR program at San Diego State University and later moved over to University of California San Diego to be coordinator for two Upward Bound Math Science programs. His roles in education have always revolved around the issues of equity and equal access to education for all students but specifically with first generation, low income populations that have always been historically marginalized in one way or another. He continues to work towards leveling the playing field in education at all levels. He has attained Bachelor’s degrees in Chicano/a Studies and Spanish from San Diego State University and is finalizing his Master’s degree in Education at University of Washington-Tacoma. He sits on many different leadership committees on his campus and around the community and also in the TRIO world with regional and state representation.
